Last updated July 2026. These guidelines apply to all 561 Scoop Insiders.

    The short version: Write honest, first-hand reviews about real places and events in Palm Beach County. Be respectful. Keep it local. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face, don't write it. Reviews that violate these guidelines will be removed and your account may be suspended.
  

📍 What We Cover

The 561 Scoop focuses on Palm Beach County — Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach, Jupiter, and surrounding areas. Reviews should be about:

Restaurants, cafés, bars, and food & drink experiences
Local events, pop-ups, festivals, and community happenings
Shops, boutiques, and local businesses worth discovering
Parks, beaches, outdoor spots, and hidden gems
Fitness studios, spas, and wellness businesses
Entertainment venues, galleries, and nightlife

✅ Keep It Honest

Your credibility — and ours — depends on authentic reviews. That means:

Only review places you've personally visited
Don't accept payment or free goods in exchange for a review without disclosing it
Be specific — describe your actual experience, not a generic opinion
Negative experiences are fine to share; be fair and factual
Don't review your own business, employer, or a competitor's business

🤝 Be Respectful

Palm Beach County is a community. Everyone reading your review might know the owner.

Critique the experience, not the people — avoid personal attacks on staff or owners
No profanity, slurs, or offensive language
No bullying, harassment, or reviews motivated by a personal dispute
Constructive criticism is welcome; gratuitous negativity is not

🚫 Prohibited Content

Reviews containing any of the following will be rejected and may result in account suspension:

Sexual, adult, or explicit content of any kind
References to illegal drug use, drug sales, or drug culture
Political opinions, endorsements, or political commentary
Religious commentary or attacks on any faith
Discriminatory language based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability, or religion
False or fabricated claims about a business or its staff
Spam, promotional copy, or affiliate links
Content copied from another source (plagiarism)
Reviews of places outside Palm Beach County

📸 Photo Guidelines

Only submit photos you took yourself
Don't submit photos of minors without parental consent
No nudity, graphic violence, or disturbing imagery
Photos should be reasonably clear and relevant to the review
By submitting a photo, you grant The 561 Scoop permission to publish it alongside your review

⚖️ Enforcement

Ian reviews every review before it goes live. If your review is rejected, you'll receive an email explaining why. Common reasons include:

The review violates one of the guidelines above
The review can't be verified as a first-hand experience
The content isn't relevant to our audience
The review is too short or lacks specific detail

You're welcome to revise and resubmit. Repeated violations will result in account suspension.

Your reviews may be published in the 561 Approved app and on 561 Scoop platforms
Your name, photo, and social handles will appear alongside published reviews
The 561 Scoop may edit reviews for clarity, length, or compliance — not for opinion
You retain ownership of your content but grant us a license to publish it
The 561 Scoop may remove any review or suspend any account at its discretion
These guidelines may be updated at any time — continued use constitutes acceptance
